Congratulations to the six Affton Hockey teams that advanced to the Blue Note Cup Championships March 5-6 at the Centene Community Ice Center. We are proud of how well all of our Affton Hockey teams performed in the initial rounds of the playoffs. The majority of our teams won first round games and an impressive number made it to the semifinals. All Affton Hockey families are encouraged to come to the finals games to cheer for our club.
Affton Americans 10U Squirt C2-1 (Coach Jon Wagner) vs Chesterfield Falcons 10U Squirt C2

Coach Jon Wagner’s team entered the playoffs as the top seed in the 12-team Squirt C2 division. Affton defeated the fourth ranked Twin Bridges Lightning 4-1 to advance to the finals.
Affton Americans 12U PeeWee B2 (Coach Barclay Anderson) vs Kirkwood Stars 12U PeeWee B2-1

Coach Barclay Anderson’s team entered the playoffs as the top seed in the 13-team PeeWee B2 division. Affton beat the fifth seeded Mid-Mo Tigers to secure a spot in the finals.
Affton Americans 12U PeeWee C1-2 (Coach Ben Lamperti) vs Meramec Sharks 12U PeeWee C1-2

Coach Ben Lamperti’s team was the top seed in the 12-team Squirt C1 division. Affton beat the fourth ranked St. Peters Spirit 4-3 to earn a spot in the championships.

Coach Jason Carrera’s team entered the playoffs at the top seed out of the four teams in the PeeWee C3 division. Lady Liberty beat the fourth seeded Cyclones 8-1 to advance to the championship game.
Affton Americans 14U Bantam A2 (Coach CJ Shutz) vs St. Peters 14U Bantam A2-2
Sunday, March 6 at 1:20 pm on the NHL Rink
Coach CJ Schutz’s team entered the playoffs as a five seed in the nine-team Bantam A2 division and defeated the top-seeded St. Peters Spirit in a seven-round shootout for the 4-3 win that earned the team a shot at the championship.
Affton Americans 14U Bantam A3 (Coach Damien Vehlewald) vs Twin Bridges Lightning 14U Bantam A3
Saturday, March 5 at 8:10 pm on USA Rink
Coach Damien Vehlewald’s team was the third seed out of ten teams at the Bantam A3 level and defeated the second seed Kirkwood Stars 4-2 to advance to the finals.
