Affton’s 6U Mite ADM program closely follows the guidelines set forth by the American Development Model (ADM) provided by USA Hockey. Our objectives include nurturing a love of the game at an early age and emphasizing fundamentals including skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. Station-based practices are utilized to maximize learning and to capture the attention of our young boys and girls. Games are a mixture of cross-ice and half-ice against other local organizations.

Competitive hockey for all experience levels, ranging from beginner to advanced hockey. Club hockey includes games versus local organizations as well as a few out-of-town tournaments. Teams receive approximately 60 home ice touches in addition to MO Hockey away games, playoffs and miscellaneous practice & tournament games. Also included is 20 hours of off-ice training with a certified personal trainer.

Players are evaluated and placed on age-appropriate Affton Americans teams based on skill level. All teams have regular practices and compete in the Missouri Hockey Youth League. Evaluations take place in August and the season runs through March.

Hockey for Midget aged players interested in playing in a more competitive environment with other local organizations as well as an out-of-town tournament or two. Teams receive approximately 25 home ice touches in addition to MO Hockey away games, playoffs and miscellaneous practice & tournament games. Tryouts take place in July and the season runs through March. Game jersey and socks included.

Club jerseys for players from 10U Squirts through 14U Bantam must be purchased through FiveB Designs.

Players must attend a scheduled fitting to order if the player is returning to Affton Hockey and needs new uniforms, player is new to 10U Squirts, player is new to Affton Hockey including one-time transfer players.

LTP and 6U/8U ADM jerseys are provided by the club. ADM players will pick a jersey size during the registration process. Midget players will receive jerseys after tryouts are complete.

When purchasing equipment, keep in mind that Affton Hockey Youth League players (10U Squirt level and above) are required to wear red pants and white helmet.
