Affton Spring/Summer LTP
Welcome to Affton Americans Spring & Summer Learn to Play Sessions
Spring Learn-To-Play is a 10-week program run by our highly experienced LTP staff. No skating experience is necessary to participate in this program. LTP skaters will learn the basics of skating, stick handling, passing and shooting.
Summer Learn-To-Play is an 8-week program run by our highly experienced LTP staff. No skating experience is necessary to participate in this program. LTP skaters will learn the basics of skating, stick handling, passing and shooting.
Ages
Affton Americans Summer Learn to Play is for first-time players age 3 to 13.
Dates & Rink
Spring LTP
Spring LTP skates are Saturday mornings starting April 11, 2026 and ending June 13, 2026 at Affton Ice Rink.
For players who need to rent equipment, fittings will take place Thursday, April 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the lobby of Affton Ice Rink.
Summer LTP
Summer LTP skates are Sundays starting July 12, 2026 and ending August 30, 2026.
For players who need to rent equipment, fittings will take place Wednesday, July 10 from 5:30 to 6:30pm (last names A-K) and 6:30 to 7:30 pm (last names L-Z) in the lobby of Affton Ice Rink.
LTP Groups
Participants are divided into two groups:
Group 1 - Players new to skating and those that need assistance skating
Group 2 - Players who can skate without assistance
Coaches may decide to move players among the groups as they evaluate skill level. The coaches will let you know if your child is moved to a different group.
