Affton Hockey Learn to Play begins Sunday, November 3. Thank you to all who are registered. We are excited to introduce your children to the game of hockey and help them develop skills. Players needing rental equipment should attend one of the fitting days on October 30 or November 2.
Please note the following details:
- GROUPS: Participants are divided into two groups. Group 1 is for players new to skating and who need assistance skating. Group 2 is for players who can skate without assistance. Coaches may decide to move some players between the groups as they evaluate skill level. The coaches will let you know if your child is moved to a different group.
- GEAR: Participants must have full equipment for LTP. Players needing rental equipment should attend a fitting day. All players are required to wear a neck guard per USA Hockey rules.
- JERSEYS: All players should come to the lobby to check in and get LTP jersey.
- PARENTS: Parents will be allowed on/near the bench for the first LTP skate to take pictures. Starting with the second skate, all parents and “fans” should watch from the stands to avoid distracting the skaters.
