Affton Americans Squirt A2 won the Big Bear Brickyard Tournament in Indianapolis. The team defeated the Columbus (Ohio) Capitals 3 to 1 and tied the North Kentucky Norseman 1 to 1. Affton defeated the Miami (Ohio) Jr. Redhawks 6 to 3 to advance to the championship game. In the championship game rematch with the Jr. Redhawks, the Americans won the title with a 5 to 1 victory. Goalie Brandon Buol was named MVP. Gordon Crowley and Cole Anderson both had four goals in the tournament. Congratulations to the players and coaches.
