Congratulations to the four Affton Hockey teams that advanced to the Blue Note Cup Championships March 2-3 at the Centene Community Ice Center. Affton Americans 10U Squirt C3 (Coach Matt Lewis) vs Rockets 10U Squirt C3
Saturday, March 2 at 10:40 am on Plager Rink
Coach Matt Lewis’s team entered the playoffs as the top seed in the 10-team Squirt C3 division. Affton defeated #9 Southern Illinois 5-0 in the quarterfinals and #5 Meramec Sharks 4-2 in the semifinals. Affton will play #3 Rockets in the finals.
Affton Americans 12U PeeWee C3 (Coach Mark Rosenkranz) vs Rockets 12U PeeWee C3
Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 pm on Plager Rink
Coach Mark Rosenkranz’s team entered the playoffs as the #3 seed in the five-team PeeWee C3 division. Affton beat #2 Lady Liberty 2-1 to secure a spot in the finals against #1 Rockets.
Lady Liberty 12U Elite (Coach Tim Bauer) vs Chesterfield 12U PeeWee B2
Sunday, March 3 at 8:40 am on NHL Rink
Coach Tim Bauer’s team was the fifth seed in the 12-team PeeWee B2 division. Lady Liberty beat #12 Springfield MO 8-1 in the first round, #4 Rockets 2-1 in the quarterfinals and took down #1 Kirkwood in a shootout in the semifinals. Lady Liberty will face #6 Chesterfield in the championship game.

Coach Chris Shatto’s team entered the playoffs as the fourth seed in the six-team PeeWee B1 division. Affton beat #5 St. Peters 5-2 in the quarterfinals and took down #1 Twin Bridges 4-1 in the semifinals. Affton will play #3 Kirkwood in the finals.
