Lady Liberty, Affton Hockey’s all-female hockey program, is increasing its participation in the Northern Illinois Hockey League. For the 2023-24 season, Lady Liberty Elite will have a 10U Elite team coached by Nicole Konsdorf.
This high-level program is for girls interested in playing in a competitive environment with other all-girls teams from the Midwest. Lady Liberty Elite teams compete in an all-girls league as part of NIHL, the second largest youth hockey league in the US. This Chicago-based league is committed to providing a competitive and enjoyable hockey experience for players throughout Illinois and surrounding states. Lady Liberty Elite teams play games against other teams in NIHL as well as select local and out-of-town all-girl tournaments.
Lady Liberty Elite teams will have multiple on-ice practices weekly along with off-ice training including fitness, stick handling, and shooting. Practices begin in August and continue through March. Skills coaches will be used throughout the season based on availability and the needs of each team. Teams will receive goalie instruction throughout the season.
Tryout schedule for Lady Liberty Elite 10U Elite is listed below and all tryout skates are held at Fenton Forum Ice Rink. All players are required to bring a dark and light jersey to tryout skates. Upon arrival at the tryout, please check in to receive a tryout number and sign required waivers. There is no cost for tryouts but all players must register online. Click here to register.
